Use the following steps to get started using JCmd.
Download the JCmd application. To use the application you will not need any of the other download files.
Issue the command: java -cp .;jcmd_X_X.jar com.omniscium.jcmd.JCmd
Note that you need to replace the X's with the appropriate version number for the release. Note also that you must include the "." if you want the application to pick up your local property files that JCmd creates. Otherwise it will always read the ones from inside the JAR.
At this point JCmd should be running. Issue a DIR command to see JCmd work.
Some commands to get you started:
DIR | HEX
To run a few of the commands you will need some 3rd party jar's. The current commands
that require 3rd party libraries are:
The library locations are on the download page. These will need to be included in the classpath when you start JCmd. If you try to run any of these commands that have dependencies you should get a message indicating that a required library is not present.
Once you have the additional libraries you can execute web services:
WEBSERVICE - Will give you a list of webservices
WEBSVC "URL" - Where URL is the path to a WSDL file.
and also perform XPATH operations:
XPATH "XML_LOCATION" "XPATH_STATEMENT"
